For more than a decade, CommunityCare IPA has been the partner of choice for independent physicians and health centers serving California's most diverse patient populations — backed by MedPOINT Management's operational expertise.
CommunityCare IPA (CCIPA) is an independent practice association serving California's Imperial Valley, San Diego County, and the Central Valley. We bring together a network of community-based physicians, FQHCs, and specialists to deliver coordinated, culturally responsive care to managed-care members.
Founded in 2013 and managed by MedPOINT Management — one of California's most established healthcare management organizations — we combine the local knowledge of community providers with the operational infrastructure, technology, and clinical support that today's value-based care demands.
Our work centers on three commitments: removing barriers to care for the patients we serve, supporting the financial and operational health of our provider partners, and meeting the highest standards of quality measurement.
To provide community-based physicians and FQHCs with a managed, integrated care delivery system that serves their communities in an organized, efficient, compassionate, and financially responsible manner.
Most IPAs promise the same things. Here's what we've actually built — the operational depth, the clinical tools, the network reach, and the local presence that let our providers and members focus on what they came here to do.
One of California's most established healthcare management organizations runs our operations — from credentialing and claims to UM, case management, and provider services. Real infrastructure, not a back office of one.
Live quality reporting, HEDIS performance tracking, and clinical gap closure tools — built into the workflow our providers already use. Quality isn't reported quarterly here. It's visible every day.
Our providers are rooted in the neighborhoods they serve. Bilingual care, FQHC partnerships, and culturally responsive practice are how we operate — not differentiators we layer on top.
Eight major health plans across Medi-Cal, Medicare Advantage, D-SNP, Medi-Medi, and Covered California. One network contract, broad payer reach — across three of California's most distinct healthcare markets.
